John Deere 47" and 54" snowblower chute deflector brackets. Made of heavy duty 12 gauge steel and powder coated to provide years of dependable service. This kit mounts using existing holes in the chute. This kit is for those who want to install either an electric actuator or hydraulic cylinder to move the deflector up and down.
The hydraulic brackets are designed to use the chute rotation cylinder which is replaced when modifing the blower with my chute 270 degree rotation kit using a hydraulic motor. See that here.
The electric actuator kit was designed with Merit Automation's actuator which has a closed length of 8" and an open length of 12". It features 5/16" pin holes. I recommend them because they offer custom kits for your particular situation.
Any actuator with those dimensions should work fine. The brackets are designed to relieve the stress put on the hinge point to insure long lasting and equal performance. When using a side mounted actuator, the plastic hinge is susceptible to failure. This bracket aides in fixing those issues.
This is shown with my personal actuator while the last two pictures show the Merit Automation actuator with bellows.
