Deck Dolly for John Deere X3xx, X5xx Series Tractors

Works great on my X590 54” deck. So much easier than trying to turn the deck over and working on it upside down on the floor of garage. I ordered the standard options, easy to put together and connect to deck. Clean the underside or change blades while seated, or roll outside to power wash. Would definitely recommend.

Very easy to use

I purchased this dolly for transporting and cleaning the underside of a JD Accel 48A deck running under a JD model X584. The deck’s weight is listed at 143 lbs. so opted for the dual wheels, soft surface pads, and the six ft. handles. They were all certainly worth the extra expense. The dolly is an absolute lifesaver for an older gardener like me, making lifting and transporting comparatively easy. Shipping packaging, parts fitment, fasteners, and paint finish are all excellent. The double wheels and soft surface pads provide a very stable platform when the deck is in a vertical position, and I have no concerns about it tipping over. The tools I used for assembly included a set of SAE ratcheting wrenches, a Knipex pliers wrench, tape measure, and a Sharpie marker. The Sharpie was used to mark a spot at the exact center of the dual wheel axles in order to position them precisely in the middle of the base plates when mounting a wheel on each side of the base plate. The tape measure is needed to assure the handlebars are kept parallel and aligned from top to bottom when doing the final bolt tightening for the dolly. Kyle Peters, the company owner, has an assembly video on YouTube which shows final assembly and alignment of the dolly while it is laying flat and mounted on the mower deck. That video helps clarify the assembly and precise fitment process if you find the paper instructions confusing.

Quality is excellent. All parts were sanded of burrs and rough edges prior to painting. Paint was of automotive quality. Assembly was effortless. Makes lifting, transporting and servicing the mower deck a breeze. I wish this had been invented 30 years ago.

It came in a timely fashion. Went together fairly well and I am very pleased with the product.
