Product Description

Deck Dolly for John Deere 1R series tractors. Fits 54D and 60D decks and may fit others that have the same dimensions for factory hook ups.

Quit struggling with that mower deck and get the Deck Dolly to make transportation, maintenance and storage a snap.

Easy hookups along with its light weight make this a must have accessory for your shop.

Please consider adding the longer legs as they aid in clearing the front draft arms when lifting.

Please note that these decks have a breather on the gearbox and it is possible that the breather could seep grease due to the way the deck hangs on the Deck Dolly.

Just take a look at this video to see how easy it is!!

  1. Great prodct but need some minor install documentation update 4 Star Review

There should be very specific mount hole marked for different size and different kind of mower deck on documentation. Just minor detail enchancement.

  2. Great tool! 5 Star Review

I like this product. It is very helpful for moving and storing my 54D autoconnect deck when not mounted to my tractor. The parts are all great quality and carefully finished. Parts of the direction were a little unclear, but I was able to quickly figure it out. Good value.

    Thank you!

  3. Handy and worth the money 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Jan 2017

I honestly was reluctant to buy my Deck Dolly... I figured I could just weld up my own and save a $100 or more in the process. But I decided to pull the trigger, and I am glad I did. The bottom line is I would have spent too much time and effort to make my own, and this was quick, easy, and well constructed.

The dolly was shipped quickly and was as good, if not better quality than I was anticipating. It went together easily and fit like a charm - the trick is following the instructions and leaving the bolts loose until you have it on the deck and then tightening.

A few helpful tidbits of info - if you cannot easily lift the front of your deck without a dolly yourself, consider the longer handles. I have a 60D deck from my 1025R Deere and it is heavy, but I can lift it myself with the dolly. If ordering it again though I would probably get the longer handles. Additionally, if you are going to store it anywhere but on concrete, you need the feet pads.

  4. Deere 60DAutoConnect, w/ Options: Soft Surface Feet, Optional 6’ Legs, Dual 7” Wheels 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Dec 2016

Bought for John Deere 60D AutoConnect mower deck.

Using on a gravel driveway in northern climate, and on a pitched garage floor to a center drain.

I have taken the deck off outside, on gravel, rolled it around outside and into the garage with no problems what so ever. I am very pleased with this product!

Assembly was easy enough with glancing references to the instruction sheets. From opening the box, to complete assembly (including one flip-flop mistake on my part), using Deck Dolly, storing deck in garage on Deck Dolly and then picking up plastic bags, recycling / trashing shipping box & packing materials, took about 2 hours all toll.

The Deck Dolly connected, lifted, rolled to stand-up position on gravel & rolled to stand-up on pitched concrete, all with no problems.

Deck Dolly makes every aspect of handling the mower deck massively easier, compared to my days of manhandling, flipping and standing 54” & 60” decks from my Deere 425 & 445 machines. Highly, highly recommend this product! See my You Tube post to see more on this product. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i03sUDsU14I

  5. Longer handles for the 60D 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Sep 2016

I got the longer handles and glad I did. The 60D weighs so much the added length of the handles helps to lift it to the upright position which can be difficult. I feel like I'm in the gym lifting dead weights and then going into an overhead (military) press The wheels are ok and seems to do the job. You really do need to keep this dolly on level ground when operating it with the mower deck because it can get little wobbly with all that weight. It does the job so far! Really like being able to get my 60D out of the way and this gives me a way to store it. Easy to use.

  6. Works as promised 4 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Aug 2016

Nice, well built product. Fits my JD 54D perfectly. Still getting used to where the wheels engage when you lift or lower. Not like a movers dolly where the wheels engage right when you tilt, these disengage/engage at a lower angle. I assume so the dolly does not move during tilt.
The only negative was the instructions could have clearer on bolt locations. Even so it took me less than 30 minutes to assemble.
It was a bit pricey with delivery charges, but all of the components are solid and well finished. The dolly should last a lifetime.

  7. Well made, easy assembly, but needs more leverage for this heavy deck 4 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Jun 2016

After I assembled the dolly and attached it to the 60D auto connect mower deck, I found the handles were too short for me to lift the deck. I ended up adding 2 foot extensions to the handles. The Deck Dolly itself is well made, it just needs additional leverage to use with bigger, heavier mower decks. Either that, or a stronger customer.
    NOTE FROM DECKDOLLY:
I do offer longer legs at an additional cost.
